Megavalanch & Goodwood

Now then folks, how’s the job looking? I wouldn’t know much about work at the mo’, as I’m on my hols. And I’m ready for it.

I flew into Geneva on Monday, then drove to Alpe d’Huez to do a bit of riding. I’m here for the Megavalanch which is the TT of push biking. I had a mint days riding today, plenty of crashes and punctures, so mustn’t grumble.

Anyway I was going to tell all of you about Goodwood. I say ALL and it must be a lot of you, because the website chucked a rod out the other week due to all the people that go on it. They’ve altered the giggle pin or foo foo valve to cure it. I’m not sure on that sort of stuff, but whatever I’m well chuffed that loads of folk appreciate my random goings on. Cheers.

Oh yeah, Goodwood. It was mega, I’ve seen my new car, seen loads of posh folk, had tea with Sandra Bullock, Jesse James, Louise Redknapp and Jenson Button. It was so posh I even wore shoes.

Anyway, I’m out in France on my tod listening to Reef to keep me company. Whatever happend to them? The album Replenish is up there with The Stone Roses, Nirvana and The Seahorses, don’t you reckon?

Have a great time on your hols, totally hooked on the tour at the moment, the yellow jersey should of been Lance’s after that TTT, but he’ll get it this week sometime. It was great to finally meet you at the weekend at Goodwood along with Cal and the other boys. I just kept taking pictures and giggling, 342 just got printed off and still more that weren’t up to scratch left. Have you tried Muse – black holes & revelations album? might be your taste. Enjoy your self loads.

Checked out the Megavalanche website – awesome! By the way – just looking at your sticker covered laptop, how about getting some Guy Martin stickers made up. The Spannerskull design (like my Red Torpedo T shirt!) would be neat. What does anyone else think? I’d certainly buy a few.

Nevermind, Nirvana… that album will never be beaten in my opinion, but everyone to their own !!

    GO BIG !!

Hi Guy, this is the first time i have left a reply so bare with me. We’d defo buy some of the stickers if you get some made up. My fella found a photo of you at the TT so a sticker would go nicely with our growing colletion. We treid to get to see you at Goodwood but we only saw you go up and then come back down the hill. We managed to find where your van was the day before but you and your team had already left :-( . I’d brought you some tea bags and they were PG Tips too. Anyway stay safe. xx

All I can say is – “well la-de-da!” to the entourage and “hubba hubba!” to the bow tie! As for tunes – hmmm what about some Smashing Pumpkins mixed with a bit of White Zombie n possibly a sprinkling of Deftones/Disturbed? Its getting me through my marathon training – just. (Might not be an eclectic mix to chill out to though – perhaps I need a rethink. Going to check out the Megavalanche website whilst I have a little think about that one. x

Hi guy, firstly gotta say a big thanks for signing my helmet at goodwood. My missus was well pissed off cos I made her stand around for an hour and a half waiting. Think I annoyed the Norton boys next to you aswell cos first thing i asked was ” is this the bike that kept braking down at the isle of man? ” Matey was not happy. I then bashed Trevor Nation with me rucksack. Thought about legging it but Cal Crutchlow turned up so pestered him for an autograph instead. Anyway , like i said cheers for signing me helmet. Favourite car at goodwood had to be the silver/chrome bugatti veyron…stunning. Totally lost my rag though trying to get a picture of it….tooo many bloody people!!! Enjoy your hols….ride long and live strong.

hope you enjoy yourself out there but i must say, you missed out on a cracking barton bike night, theres been mention of some 10.000 people turned up. all the usual stuff there but also some right donuts, one old bloke had his desmo parked up and his mate was sat on it, he fired it up and proceeded to rev the nackers off it on a cold engine. it was kicking out proper blue smoke! i asked him how much a service was for it to which he replied ” i,m just gonna buy a haynes manual for it and do it myself” . all in all a good nite though, although i bust the zip on my leathers and rode back to hull with me jacket undone!. good luck at the southern 100 and dont forget ” go big or go home!!!”

The Crimea are the way forward!!!, Little Man Tate and maybe try John Squire’s solo album has hints of the ‘Roses and Seahorses about it. Tear The Place Up by Skunk Anansie is awesome for carving down some single track

hey guy! to answer your question about where have reef gone. the lead singer is now in a band called “them is me” still singing the same style could almost be a replacement when the reef CD burns out from over-use. hud chappin…..
